I’m very disappointed that Rothwell had to pull out just a few days before the fight. According to Dana White our fight will be rescheduled, it might possibly happen as soon as April 10th in Abu Dhabi which would suit me. I was preparing for Ben Rothwell.

Props to Perosh for accepting the fight, there were other more high-profile UFC fighters who did not accept. But that’s understandable since they weren’t prepared at all. Perosh showed heart and I tried to be as fair as possible in that fight. I’m sorry he left the cage with an injury.

REPORTER: Are you satisfied with how your fight against Perosh.Did it go over as you wanted it or was it just pastime for you.

Mirko:It depends, if im fighting in April i wnot have time for much of a rest.A few days may be and then its back to training.

REPORTER:The critics are favorable after this fight people say that you finally put on a good performance.

Mirko:Well, I dont know.Im not too happy with it.Im immensely greatful to perosh for accepting the fight, if he hadnt all my efforts throughout the last four months would have benn in vain.I spent four weeks in Amsterdam getting ready.If he had not stepped up I would have spent two weeks in Sidney for nothing so he has my thanks.As for the fight it self, he showed heart but i think the ref should have stopped after he received the cut.I fell bad for that elbow, thats why i tried to avoid fighting on the ground.I had significant weigh adventage, i was 8 kilos heavier and i knew somthing like that would happen.I didnt even wont to hit him after the elbow the first question Dane White asked me after the fight was why i didnt finish him i thought it made no sens, the blood was gushing out of his forhead and i didnt want to aggravate the injury.

REPORTER:What doors a victory in your next fight open for you?

Mirko:I dont know i’ll take it one the fight at a time and then we’ll see.Rothwell is first om agenda i nedd to beat him first then we’ll talk about it.
